Jer 17:13 -O Lord, the hope of Israel, all who forsake you will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust because they have forsaken the Lord, the spring of living water.

Joh 4:10 - Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."

Joh 7:38 - Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."

Mt 21:33 - "Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country.

Mt 25:14 - "For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.

Mr 12:1 - Then He began to speak to them in parables: "A man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a place for the wine vat and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country.

Mr 13:34 - It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

As the above Scripture states, Jesu Christ is the "cool (living) water that refreshes our tired world weary souls! He is the King that has gone to a "far Counrty"(Heaven) but the Good news is that (Jesus Returning to recieve His own) Totally "refreshes and renews our souls!

Isa 40:31 - But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
References :
Some people think that the 7 churches in Revelation 2 and 3 represent symbolic "church ages" but it is more reasonable to see them as "church types" because in every age there are churches that have some of the good and some of the bad things said about those 7 churches.

Living in the United States it can become easy to think that we are in the Laodicean age because compared to the rest of the world and past generations most Christians live as people who might be inclined to think that they are well enough off that they have need of nothing.

However, go around and visit different churches in America and you will find representatives of all 7 types of churches. Churches strong on doctrine but that have left their first love, churches that are poor materially but rich in faith, churches that have false teachers that tolerate sin, churches where women preach error and in with misguided "love" sin is tolerated in the name of doing good works in the community, spiritually dead churches, churches that are small and despised but faithful, and of course the country club, gospel lite, Laodicean churches where feel good messages are preached and sin is rarely if ever mentioned.
References :
I personally have found out it is best to use a well balanced point of view. Mental, Physical and Spiritual. Working on all three gives you a more balanced outcome. Meditation or stilling the mind for mental, exercise or at least daily stretching for the physical and self introspection for the spiritual. Those 3 together seem to give the best results in my opinion.
References :
I find meditation calms my mind down enough that I'm able to focus on trying to have a conversation with G-d. So both, meditation followed by prayer.
References :
Yes, I would say so. We are neither hot nor cold. It amazes me how we are content to sit behind the walls of our churches like whited sepulchers and allow ourselves to become silenced in the name of political correctness and the so called separation of church and state that does not exist anywhere in our Constitution. Too many of us are afraid we might "offend" someone if we profess our belief in the Lord and way too many of us are biblically illiterate even to the point of not even knowing what Jesus Christ taught about the Gospel.
References :
When you are thirsty you drink water. When you feel empty your mind reaches out to Christ. He is the only one who can satisfy your hunger and thirst for peace, fulfillment and happiness. Christ has come. He died for our sins. He has prepared a home for us in heaven. He is returning to take us home to heaven. This is good news.

John 3:16

I would have to say prayer. When im down there is only one person that can really help me out. I meditate at times, it calms my nerves and just revitalizes my mind. I would have to say both, but for spirtual fullfillment i would have to go with prayer.
References :
Spirituality is about connections that, though unseen, bind us to one another, to things, places and to the universe as a whole.

"Good news from a far country," whether it be home or a far away friend, gives you that connection.

These connections are as necessary to life as water. Without them we would be a mass of disjointed, homeless and meaningless individuals.
